The Benefits Of Organic Honey

Organic honey, often referred to as raw, unfiltered or virgin is one of those uncommon delicacies that are not only sweet and tasty to sample but also highly healing to the body. It is unprocessed and does not contain any pesticides, chemicals, or artificial additions. It is formed by an imposing team of bees working next to each other. They gather up nectar from the close by flowers and deposit the contents into complex containers made of beeswax. When the nectar mixes with the bee’s spit, a chemical reaction occurs, forming the gooey goodness.

Varieties may be named after the kind of blossom the nectar it originated from, such as lavender, clover, or buckwheat. Pure honey also comes in a selection of hues, from the most typical amber colour, reds, and browns, up to occasionally a near black shade. It is assumed the darker the honey, the stronger the healing properties.

Honey is best when obtained in the natural state, as opposed to the changed one, which comes in a plastic, adorable, bear shaped bottle. Non-organic honey is typically heated and filtered which can cause it to lose most of the healing features linked with the raw form. Therapeutic enzymes present in the organic state cannot survive the heating process used in liquid manufacturing.

This miracle of nature is not just consumed in a large number of different ways, it may also be applied topically to cuts and injuries, or used to purify and smooth the skin in a facial mask. In fact it has been used for years as a natural cosmetic in all kinds of ways. It also has a place in the kitchen.

Use it as an alternative to sugar in recipes, sweeten up hot tea, or spread it on bread for an afternoon break. It's a known cure for soothing sore throats, as a common cold or flu remedy, so helping to fight most allergies. Ancient Egyptians exploited the dear substance as a sacred offering to their gods and as a preservative when embalming the dead.
