A Nurse Practitioner is Troubled With Her Depression and Comes to the Conclusion to Quit Drinking, Start Exercising, Stop Smoking, and Go on a Diet
For the past ten years Natalie has been a registered nurse at a urban hospital. As a professional nurse, she evidently knew what to tell her patients concerning their health difficulties but in her off-duty life, nevertheless, she clearly didn’t practice what she preached. As an example, she normally drank in an irresponsible and excessive manner, she never got into physical exercise, she smoked roughly two packs of cigarettes everyday, and she was more or less forty-four pounds overweight.
Natalie Gets Into A Vehicle Accident, Fails A Breathalyzer Test, and Goes to The Local Jail
One evening on her way to the hospital, Natalie got into a car accident. Due to the fact that the accident was her fault and since her speech was jumbled when she spoke, the arresting officer had her take a breathalyzer test. In accord with standard law enforcement operating procedures, when a person is involved in a car accident and tests positive for a breathalyzer test, the individual has to spend at least two hours in jail.
Actually, Natalie should have known better than to drive after she was drinking because she recently attended an “alcohol abuse awareness” class at the hospital that centered on statistics, issues, and information about alcohol facts such as the following: alcohol poisoning, binge drinking, DUIs, and the primary differences between alcohol abuse and alcohol addiction.
Natalie is Feeling Quite a Bit of Shame About Her Automobile Accident
It almost goes without saying that Natalie experienced more than a little shame about her vehicle accident. Furthermore, she experienced quite a bit of shame about the fact that the accident was her fault. And perhaps worst of all, she was quite embarrassed about the fact that she was driving after she had been drinking. As Natalie thought about this event, however, she perceived that it could have been far worse because at work, when a alcohol blood test is given and failed, the individual has to go to mandatory alcohol counseling and is placed on non-pay status. This was merely one of the alcohol facts that was a reality at the hospital and not much could be expected to change this fact.
Natalie’s Shame and Depression About Her Traffic Accident Encourages Her To Go Over Her Life and Make Some Substantial and Healthy Modifications
At any rate, Natalie’s disgrace about her automobile accident motivated her to reexamine her life and make some significant and beneficial alterations. First, she was going to stop drinking in an excessive and irresponsible manner. Second, she was going to quit smoking. Third, she was going to lose some weight. And fourth, she was going to start exercising.
As disconcerted and depressed as Natalie was about the entire car accident situation, she used this awful experience as a catalyst for positive change. In addition, she used her negative experience as a real source of revelation that she had been neglecting her own health while she openly told other individuals how to live a more healthy life. At last, she finally saw the two-facedness in her behavior and made up her mind that she would live her life as a constructive source of motivation for other individuals.

Jennifer is a thirty-one-year-old loan processor who has been ingesting alcohol in a hazardous and excessive manner since her fiancée and she broke up their relationship. In fact, for the past nine months she has been drinking very nearly one-and-a-half bottles of wine every night, and on the weekends she also has been drinking more than a few cans of beer all through the day. In short, Jennifer has been drinking so excessively and abusively that it’s a wonder that she hasn’t suffered from alcohol poisoning.
After feeling dispirited because she was starting to let her health go downhill, Jennifer at last told herself that enough is enough, that it’s time to quit the self pity party, that it’s time to quit the hazardous and irresponsible drinking, and time to get going with her life. So the next Saturday morning at 10:00 AM, she made up her mind to quit drinking suddenly and completely without preparation or planning.
When She Stopped Drinking She Felt Terrible, Her Head Was Aching, She Vomited Numerous Times, She Had Utterly No Appetite, She Started to Perspire Extensively, and She Was Extremely Moody and Nervous
When Jennifer quit drinking, she thought that she would more likely than not be tempted to have a drink or two, but she never supposed that she would feel so sick. More directly, just about two-and-a-half hours after she quit drinking, she had utterly no appetite, she vomited several times, her head was throbbing, she started to perspire extensively, and she was extremely stressed out and moody.
When she called her best friend and told her that she had stopped drinking and that after a few hours she all of a sudden started to experience flu-like symptoms, Darlene, her best buddy, told Jennifer to call her doctor and discuss what was taking place.
She Admits to Her Medical Practitioner That She Has Been Drinking In an Irresponsible and Excessive Manner, That She Just Tried to Quit Drinking, and That She is Experiencing Terribly Painful Flu-Like Symptoms
So Jennifer called her doctor, informed him that she has been drinking in a hazardous and irresponsible manner for many months and that when she attempted to totally stop drinking earlier in the day, within a few hours she felt as if she had the most awful flu-like symptoms that she had ever gone through.
Her family doctor told her that she may be experiencing symptoms of alcohol withdrawal and that she should have someone take her to the emergency room as soon as humanly possible.
As soon as Jennifer got off the phone, she got a relative to drive her to the hospital. Interestingly, all the way to the hospital, as sick as Jennifer felt, the only thing she could think about was whether or not she might be an alcoholic.
Obviously her medical practitioner had phoned ahead and informed the emergency room personnel to expect Jennifer because when she got to the hospital, she was met by two ER employees who immediately asked her to get in the wheelchair they had with them. After getting transported to the emergency room and undergoing two or three important tests, it was verified that Jennifer was in truth going through alcohol withdrawal symptoms and was in need of alcohol detox.
An emergency room doctor gave her some drugs to lessen the intensity of her flu-like symptoms and also gave her some meds to help eliminate the alcohol that was still in her circulatory system.
An Alcohol Dependency Physician Clearly Explains That She is Addicted to Alcohol and Then Discusses What Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms and Alcoholism Stages Are
After a couple of hours, Jennifer was taken from the ER and transported to the recovery room. After she was in recovery for nearly two hours, Doctor Truxton, an alcohol dependency specialist, came to talk to her. He took his time and explained that Jennifer had gone through alcohol withdrawal symptoms when she quit drinking due to the fact that she had become an alcoholic.
He then discussed the fact that with heavy drinking on an everyday basis, the person’s brain gradually adapts to the alcohol in order to execute tasks and operations in a “routine” way. When the person then suddenly refrains from drinking, it can be stressed, the brain responds by giving rise to alcohol withdrawal symptoms. Furthermore, her healthcare practitioner also went over the various alcoholism stages that an individual who is alcohol dependent regularly experiences as the disease gets progressively worse as time goes by.
It is Established that Jennifer is in the Earliest Stage of Alcoholism and She Gets a Good Projection For a Full Recovery if She Gets the Alcohol Addiction Rehab She Needs
Fortunately for Jennifer, it was determined that she was in the first stage of alcohol addiction and, as a consequence, she was given a good prognosis for a total recovery if she will get the alcohol dependency rehabilitation she needs.
Jennifer told the medical practitioner that she will do whatever it takes to get sober and to reclaim her health. She also articulated that she has an exceptional hospitalization insurance plan that will quite possibly pay for most of the treatment costs. It was apparent that Jennifer was quite thankful about her optimistic prognosis and felt free from worry knowing that she will be able to get the alcoholism rehab she requires so that she can start on the path to recovery.

A Young Woman Decides to See Her Family Doctor About Her Depression and Her Drinking Problems
Rochelle at long last made up her mind to go and see her healthcare professional about her unhealthy drinking. At first, Rochelle thought she would be able to essentially go on the Internet, look for some fundamental alcohol abuse and alcoholism information and determine whether or not she was dependent on alcohol. Not unexpectedly, she located quite a few websites that spelled out some of the typical symptoms of alcoholism. That’s the encouraging news. The bad news, sadly, was that Rochelle showed signs of quite a few of these alcoholism symptoms.
Alcohol Dependency Symptoms: Some Examples
As a case in point, Rochelle was drinking quite a bit more than normal and she was starting to have more fiery squabbles with her significant other. In the same way, for the first time in her young life she was experiencing sleeping problems. Likewise, Rochelle over and over again felt depressed and on an increasing basis she had been displaying less than normal concentration at her job.
Furthermore, she felt highly stressed and more anxious on a daily basis and for the past two or three months she exhibited befuddled thinking at her place of employment. In view of the fact that Rochelle manifested all of these symptoms, she was rightly apprehensive about her excessive drinking.
So Rochelle eventually determined that she needed to call her healthcare practitioner and ask for an appointment. As a matter of fact, this was difficult for Rochelle because her healthcare practitioner was also her parents’ healthcare professional. The source of her uneasiness was this: at the risk of embarrassing her family, she had to go and disclose her careless and hazardous drinking behavior to her doctor.
When Rochelle arrived at the physician’s office, she truthfully told the family doctor about the fear she had about her excessive drinking behavior. When the healthcare professional asked what was stimulating this anxiety, Rochelle mentioned that she had gone on the world wide web and read about alcohol dependency and especially about alcoholism symptoms. She then outlined all of the alcoholism symptoms that she obviously thought she possessed.
A Thorough Physical Exam and Outpatient Alcohol Rehabilitation
The doctor notified Rochelle that it was wise of her to tackle her problem drinking, he gave Rochelle an in depth physical examination, and recommended that she register in an out-patient alcohol treatment center that was run by Doctor Rinkel, one of his doctor co-workers.
What is more, when Rochelle stated that she had been feeling depressed to an increasing degree, the family doctor notified Rochelle that depression and alcoholism frequently crop up in the same person. Hence, the family doctor also suggested that Rochelle seek counseling to tackle her melancholy.
The Advantage of Handling Your Drinking Difficulties and Getting Encouraged About Making Healthy, Positive, and Successful Changes in Your Life
The healthcare practitioner made it a point to notify Rochelle that she might not inevitably be alcohol dependent, but that she was clearly drinking in a careless manner. That is, Rochelle was manifesting alcohol abuse signs.
The family healthcare practitioner then told Rochelle that the reason he suggested alcohol rehabilitation in the first place was because he wanted her to deal with her drinking issues, make sure that she stopped them from intensifying, and start to live in a more healthy manner, even if it meant that she had to thoroughly abstain from drinking.
In brief, by successfully treating her drinking difficulties, Rochelle would be able to get her problem drinking under control and refrain from the negative series of events that could possibly result in alcohol dependency.
Plainly, Rochelle did not want to face the thought of getting registered into an alcohol rehab center. Nor was she thrilled about going to a counselor about her sadness. In spite of these fears, nevertheless, Rochelle in fact experienced some emotional relief for the first time in quite a few months because at last she quit making excuses for herself and at long last finally determined that she needed to do something constructive about her drinking issues.
With such a positive attitude, it was highly probable that Rochelle would be successful in her alcohol rehabilitation as well as in her treatment for her depression.

What are the significant factors in an effective alcohol intervention? Why do some addiction interventions succeed while more than a few fail?
The Need for a Well-Known History of Intervention Attainment
Scientific examination shows that a “winning” alcoholism intervention needs to be administered by an intervention specialist who has a celebrated track record of intervention success.
In effect this means that rather than choosing an “average” alcohol dependency healthcare professional or psychologist for an alcohol abuse intervention, the individual who is chosen to administer the intervention needs to be instructed in alcohol addiction intervention procedures and needs to possess a record of “winning” addiction interventions.
A Few Essential Examples of The Best Time For an Alcohol Dependency Intervention
Scientific exploration and alcoholism facts about interventions has also shown that the most fruitful time for an alcoholism intervention is following a special occasion in the life of the alcohol addicted person or abusive drinker. The following represents a few illustrations of these types of noteworthy incidents:
- The alcohol-dependent person or abusive drinker has been caught stealing something of value.
- The abusive drinker or alcohol-dependent person has been caught lying about something of consequence.
- The alcohol-dependent person or abusive drinker has been placed behind bars for driving under the influence.
In events such as these, the alcohol dependent individual or alcohol abuser is more likely to be remorseful or to feel ashamed, thereby making him or her more willing to get the professional alcohol rehabilitation that is needed.
At this time, moreover, it is also important to underscore the fact that the alcohol abuser or alcoholic needs to be free of alcohol during the alcohol addiction intervention. In sum, if the abusive drinker or alcoholic is drunk during an alcohol dependency intervention, the lack of success is almost certain.
In the same way, scientific study has also made evident the fact that the alcohol abuser or alcohol dependent individual has to at least try to listen to what is stated in an alcoholism intervention. That is, during an alcoholism intervention, the hazardous drinker or alcohol-dependent person needs to listen to what his or her drinking behavior has done to those who care for him or her the most.
The Magnitude of Alcohol Counseling For the Irresponsible Drinker
And lastly, scientific research demonstrates that the major reason for an alcohol abuse intervention in the first place is to convince the alcohol abuser or alcohol addicted individual to get the quality alcohol therapy that is required. Stated more clearly, even if the individual who monitors the intervention has an outstanding reputation of effective interventions and even if the hazardous drinker or alcohol dependent individual frankly listens to every word that is said during the course of an intervention, if the hazardous drinker or alcohol-dependent person is not moved to request quality alcohol dependency counseling after the alcohol dependency intervention, then the intervention will be a debacle.
Without a doubt all of these factors are needed for a successful alcohol addiction intervention. If, nonetheless, the hazardous drinker or alcohol addicted person is not inspired to get alcohol therapy after listening to his or her family members articulate the hurt, anger, and dissatisfaction they feel about the hazardous drinker’s or alcohol addicted person’s irresponsible drinking behavior and the concern they feel for the problem drinker, then everything else that is part of an alcoholism intervention will in the main be futile.
Even Effective Alcohol Dependency Interventions Can Flop Down the Road
It also needs to be noted that despite the fact that the alcohol dependency intervention can be identified as fruitful in that it helped put the abusive drinker or alcoholic in a more amenable mentality and honestly helped the alcohol addicted person or abusive drinker come to a decision that he or she needed alcohol therapy or professional help for alcoholism or alcohol abuse, the simple reality that the intervention took place might result in resentment, irritation, and doubt in the future.
In a nutshell, even when alcohol addiction interventions are seen as effective in the short run, in the long term, to the contrary, they may backfire and, as a consequence, may make the family and/or the alcoholic’s situation even worse than it was before the alcohol intervention took place.
No matter how inequitable or ironic this seems, try to keep in mind that it is basically one of the fundamental alcohol facts that has to be faced when engaging in an alcohol intervention.
A Reason For Happiness and Joy
Also keep in mind how thrilling and gratifying it can be when an alcohol intervention is successful. Why? When an alcohol addiction intervention is successful, this means that the person with a drinking problem understands what he or she has been doing to those who care the most about him or her and is now willing and ready to get rehabilitation and start on the road to recovery.

It is fascinating to mention something that family members who have been unfavorably affected by the alcohol dependency of another family member plainly do not realize. It seems that by protecting the alcohol dependent individual with falsehoods and deceitfulness to those outside the family, these well-intentioned family members have essentially created a condition that makes it easier for the alcohol addicted individual to persevere and proceed with his or her harmful, destructive existence.
To be sure, rather than helping the alcohol dependent individual and themselves, these family members have in fact become enablers who have involuntarily helped deteriorate the alcoholic’s drinking problem even further.
Perhaps the real downside of this is that the alcohol addicted individual will continue drinking in a hazardous and excessive manner and suffer from a range of “alcohol side effects.” Some of these side effects include employment difficulties, legal issues (such as getting arrested for one or more DWIs), ill health, deteriorating relationships, serious financial problems, and diminished mental functioning.
Relapses Can and Do Transpire
According to the research findings and statistics on alcohol dependency, another key alcoholism issue involves alcohol relapses. Relapses take place when an alcohol addicted individual has effectively undergone alcohol dependency therapy and then returns to drinking a number of weeks or months later. At first glance, this situation seems contradictory to sound thinking and appears to be so improbable that it forces a person to speculate why anyone who has gone through the dejection of alcohol addiction can return to drinking a short while after effective alcohol treatment and in turn after reaching recovery. There are, of course, many likely reasons for this.
It should be noted, then again that alcohol dependency research that has focused on the long standing outcomes of alcohol dependency has shown that long after the alcohol dependent individual has halted his or her drinking, critical alterations in the way in which the alcohol addicted person’s brain operates are still present. As a consequence, all a recovering alcohol addicted person has to do to involve himself or herself in actions that correspond with the changes that have taken place in the brain is to start drinking once again.
The Need for A Crucial Lifestyle Change
There are additional reasons why quite a lot of recovering alcohol dependent individuals return to drinking a few weeks or a few months after attaining sobriety. According to the alcohol addiction research literature, to make a successful recovery, the alcohol dependent individual needs new ways of responding and thinking in order to deal more competently with difficult alcohol-related circumstances that will take place.
Conditions such as returning to the same alcohol addictive environment or to the same geographic location; interacting once again with friends from the days when the alcohol dependent person was drinking abusively; or familiar songs, smells, or activities—all of these conditions can elicit memories that can trigger psychological tension or push hot buttons that influence the recovering alcohol dependent person to engage in irresponsible drinking once again. Sadly, all of these circumstances may not only work against ongoing sobriety for the alcoholic but they can also result in relapse and consequently counteract one’s alcohol recovery.
The Good News: There’s a Lot of Hope for Lasting Sobriety
In an attempt to “protect” the family alcohol addicted person, family members can in point of fact cause unintended harm by enabling the unsafe drinking behavior of the alcoholic.
The drug abuse research literature highlights the fact that most people who effectively complete alcohol rehabilitation go through at least one relapse. Alcohol addicted individuals and their family members need to know this so that they do not get dejected or overwhelmed when a relapse manifests itself.
Happily, involvement in support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and follow-up rehab and education have resulted in more successful, enduring alcohol abuse and alcohol dependency therapeutic outcomes, have helped diminish alcohol relapses, and have helped recovering alcohol dependent individuals reach ongoing alcohol recovery.

A Married Couple Becomes Distraught About Their Excessive and Hazardous Drinking and Speculates Whether They Manifest Any Alcohol Addiction Signs
Jerry and Sarah have been married for four years. They wanted to experience some fun and excitement before they decided to have children and so they by design developed an exceptionally active social life.
The major issue, it needs to be emphasized, is that practically everything they do with their family and friends somehow includes drinking. As an illustration, all of the family get-togethers, sporting events, parties with friends, dinner engagements, and happy hours they patronize are associated with drinking.
Sarah and Jerry Start to Notice Some Definite Alcohol Related Problems That are Linked to Their Hazardous Drinking
If they were responsible or moderate drinkers, this wouldn’t be a major problem. Given the fact that they drink in an irresponsible manner, nevertheless, they are beginning to perceive some instantly recognizable alcohol-related issues in their lives.
As an illustration, just a week ago Jerry was arrested for a second DUI and has been calling off from work due to alcohol-related health problems. In addition, Jerry’s last two performance appraisals at his place of employment have been less than average and he has started to fail to remember what he does or says the times that he drinks. Lastly, Jerry has been experiencing sleep-related problems and his family is starting to display anxiety about his drinking circumstances.
Sarah, on the other hand, has been feeling down in the dumps about life and to come to grips with these feelings, she has been drinking more regularly than any time in the past eight months. In addition, Sarah has been experiencing quite a few throbbing migraine headaches and experiencing dreadful hangovers due to her drinking. Finally, Sarah has been feeling considerably less active when she awakens, she has been getting to work late at least once per week, and she has been receiving some insensitive criticism from her family members, relatives, coworkers, and friends about her abusive drinking.
Watching the Television and Going Through the Channels and Finding An Enchanting Documentary About the Signs of Alcohol Addiction
One Friday evening while watching TV, Jerry and Sarah went through the channels and discovered an interesting documentary about the signs of alcoholism.
This television program was a real source of revelation to Sarah and Jerry because some of the alcoholism signs that were featured seemed like they were unwaveringly associated with more than a few of the alcohol-related drinking problems Sarah and Jerry had been experiencing.
A Candid Chat About Drinking Situations Brings to Light Alcohol Related Health, Employment, Legal, Financial, and Relationship Problems
After watching the TV documentary, Sarah and Jerry determined that they needed to have a frank conversation about their drinking condition. They both agreed that most, if not all, of their social functions included drinking, that they were drinking in a hazardous manner, and that as a couple, they were beginning to see alcohol related legal, relationship, employment, financial, and health problems for the first time in their lives.
With thoughts of the TV program still fresh in her mind, Sarah asked Jerry if some of the alcohol dependency signs they have been exhibiting could mean that they are addicted to alcohol or maybe becoming alcohol dependent. Jerry didn’t know the answer to Sarah’s question and so he recommended that they make an appointment with one of the healthcare professionals at the nearby drug and alcohol treatment center to find out more about the gravity of their drinking situation.
Coming to Grips With Your Drinking Problems Might Lessen Your Anxiety and Give You A Sense of Calm
Paradoxically, although their drinking circumstances hadn’t yet changed, it was apparent that Sarah and Jerry were at least dealing with their drinking problems, they were ready to find out more about their drinking situation, and they were interested in learning how they could notably lessen or do away with the alcohol-related difficulties that had begun to worsen.
When Sarah and Jerry went to bed that night, they made up their minds that the next afternoon, Jerry would call and make an appointment for both of them at the drug and alcohol abuse rehab clinic located just South of the State Capital. After they promised one another that they would do whatever it takes to triumph over the alcohol-related problems that had become apparent in their lives, they in point of fact had the most refreshing night’s sleep they could bring to mind in the last six weeks.
Just before he fell asleep, Jerry turned to Sarah and pointed out how effortless it is to reduce one’s sense of dread and actually experience some serenity by facing one’s problems straight on and coming to a decision to do something positive about them.

Stand Up And Be A Pig
Hello friends thank you for taking a moment to read.
I am Victoria Kelley, a mother, a concerned citizen, an individual who desires change in the world and today a spokesperson about health-care reform.
I am reminded today with this health-care reform, that animals behave better than humans do lately.
Call me a PIG if you wish. Seems that is a popular word. However, if I am a Pig…I will take that as a compliment.
Pigs are loyal, highly intelligent, great companions, house trainable, good mothers and very independent.
Seems to me, that Pigs have more going for them, than most humans these days.

I think what really astounds me, is that our government seem to think that people are stupid. Especially over this health-care reform. I do not claim to be any great authority in politics, but I do know when my rights and that of my family are slowly being taken away from you, me, our children.
My boys are 10 and 11 years old. As their mother, I am going to keep fighting for their rights too.
The biggest problem I see is, that people are allowing their anger to over rule their good judgment here. Nothing Good was ever achieved with Anger. We have a world full of it.
Martin Luther King Jr and Gandhi achieved what they did with peaceful demonstrations. If this country got their sense back, we could follow these wonderful examples and still win anything. When a man gives way to anger, he harms himself. – Gandhi
History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people.-Martin Luther King Jr.
Even from the grave, these two men have inspired and given me instruction.

There are moments in life when you must act even though you cannot carry your best friends with you. The still small voice within you must always be the final arbiter when there is a conflict of duty. – Gandhi
If we are to go forward, we must go back and rediscover those precious values – that all reality hinges on moral foundations and that all reality has spiritual control. -Martin Luther King Jr.
People stand up for your rights after all you are “We Are The People.”
I ask you to do this though, in a PEACEFUL manner. Show your children the CORRECT way for the future.
No amount of violence has ever solved real problems before, even health care reform. If you stay angry and violent over this issue, you may need health care sooner than you think.
WE do have however, the right to speak up and voice our concerns.
Your Children have a right to choose their own health care, for their future too. Please consider that.
The Collective have something very interesting to say to Humanity about Politics and it’s workings. You should read it. It can be found in their self named titled book -The Collective Speaks to Humanity-

Health Care Reform Means…
Thank you for taking the time to read this, I am Victoria Kelley. I ask, when will the Government pay attention to the People of America. Not everyone wants Health-care reform.
All over the country people are demonstrating and making huge waves over health care reform.

Excuse me if I am wrong here, but if “WE THE PEOPLE” say NO to this reform then how can it be passed?
Seems to me the government is telling US how it is going to be. Too bad if you don’t like it…
Hey I don’t eat cabbage, does that mean I will be forced to eat that too?
How long are you just going to remain quiet? Do nothing about your point of view, on health care reform.
Haven’t I been saying YOU have to speak out? Wakey, wakey sunshine.
WE want what is best for the majority of people and our children’s futures.
Am I wrong here?
Just Yesterday President Obama said this on the White House Blog: This is our chance to march forward. I cannot promise you that the reforms we seek will be perfect or make a difference overnight. But I can promise you this: if we pass health insurance reform, we will look back many years from now and say, this was the moment we summoned what’s best in each of us to make life better for all of us.
The President is right about one thing, he cannot promise. Ask people who have had socialized medicine 20 years later, how the system is crashing down around their governments ears. Waiting for surgery for months is typical and wrong. The government decides if your case is urgent or not. This is the future America. I have lived socialized medicine. It is not as glamorous as it sounds.

“People should NOT be afraid of their Governments.” Governments should be afraid of their People.” Quote from “V” from the movie V for Vendetta.
I think it is time someone in the White House read “Common Sense” from Thomas Paine 1775. I bet you would never see Thomas Paine sitting down and being quiet, over health care reform.
IN BEHALF OF THE WHOLE COLONY; AND ADDRESS TO THE INHABITANTS OF AMERICA. Thomas Paine 1775
Here are a few examples of his writings, that seems to apply in 2009:
By the legal voice of the people in Congress; by a military power; or by a mob: It may not always happen that our soldiers are citizens, and the multitude a body of reasonable men; virtue, as I have already remarked, is not hereditary, neither is it perpetual. Should an independancy be brought about by the first of those means, we have every opportunity and every encouragement before us, to form the noblest purest constitution on the face of the earth… Thomas Paine “Common Sense” 1775
The Reflexion is awful and in this point of view, How trifling, how ridiculous, do the little, paltry cavillings, of a few weak or interested men appear, when weighed against the business of a world. … Thomas Paine “Common Sense” 1775
Thomas Paines book was banned for many years. This man had the courage in 1775 to stand up and address the People of America.
What are you going to do now? Stand up Like Thomas Paine did.
The ball as they say is in YOUR court…It has the name health care reform written on it.
PEOPLE… you are the VOICE.

Mates, Partners, Husbands, Wives
Is This Really What Your Relationship Is All About?
Here we go again; mates, husbands, wives, sex, mental, emotional, forever, you, spirit. I know it can be hard work. Hi I am Victoria Kelley.
I have spoken to you, so far on your inner being and fulfilling who you are.
Today let’s talk about the relationship aspect of who and what you wish to give to someone else.
So then, what is true love?
If I were to ask you this I am so sure you would have at least 10 answers right off the top of your head. BUT…are they what you want in a relationship or is it the value of Love itself.
Two totally different aspects here.
Many great books of literature have spoken about Love including the bible.
One aspect of true love that you may never have considered before is; when you become a servant in your heart to all people, you understand the depths of true love.
Much of today’s mind set is based in ME and CONTROL. True love is almost a fleeting glimpse as it passes by.
Love does not mean controlling others thoughts, feelings, weight, attitudes, dress style or choices.
Total and unconditionally accepting the other person is what love is.
Here is another thought to consider when looking for a mate.
If you are not complete within yourself and do not understand your own direction, then how can you love someone else, or expect them to love you?
How can you really think giving another, what you consider YOUR kind of love, when you have no concept of how to LOVE YOURSELF FIRST.
This is one of the biggest mistakes mankind makes.
We choose mates based on our own insecurities and we hope they will change because we will make them!
We go from relationship to relationship hoping that our own voids will be filled by others.
In the end, YOU are the only ONE who can make you happy. No-one else can do that for you.
How many divorces happen in the United States every year ? 4 in 5 people will be married at least once. 1 in 3 will be divorced at least once.
Terrible facts aren’t they?
We have come to expect perfection in our mate.
We want to control and dominate them sometimes too.
The body beautiful and shallow thoughts and feelings of each other.
Three very important issues to discuss here:
Perfection… So he leaves a few dirty socks on the floor. It’s not your job to tell him everyday about the socks, because he will only do it more. Leave them in a pile on the floor and when he runs out of socks he will find them. No-body is perfect including YOU. I am sure you have some really annoying habits as well. Maybe you leave make-up all over the bathroom. Did you ever consider your mate finds this totally annoying? Love and less expectations of the other can make this quickly stop. Stop looking at all your mates faults, and start working on your own. You cannot change anyone else, just yourself. You are not the thought police. Grow up in your marriage or relationship, you are not babies anymore. Stop acting like it.
Domination… Love does mean that you have to check in every hour with your mate. “Where are you’” questions, should be turned into trust answers. If your mate has cheated before, ask yourself why you are still in the relationship if you don’t trust them. Please don’t say to me; “because you love them” either…because if you don’t trust them ..you don’t love them. Love also does not mean verbally hurting someone, hitting or laying your hands on them, telling them what to wear, making them afraid, yelling at them. All of these things are NOT LOVE. How can YOU claim to love anyone, including yourself, if you are so mean spirited like this.
Vanity and Looks… Be serious for one minute. You are not going to look 25 forever. So is your mate for that matter. If you want to know what you and your mate are going to look like in the future; take a look at your own parents for starters. No amount of plastic surgery is going to change that either. You will age, happens to the best of us. Where did it say in your wedding vows, a muscle bound hunk, or hour glass figure was part of the deal? You are going to get wrinkles, stretch marks, put on weight, constipation, gas problems, and the occasional belch and many other things…there I said it! Get over yourself and quickly. You are going to get old and so is your mate.
If you are having problems intimately, this could just be a matter of communication. Talk to each other about it. Unless you speak up, how is your mate supposed to know what you want, don’t want, like or don’t like.
There are very few MIND READERS in this world. He or She will not always know. Don’t assume.
Honestly, is talking to each other so painful?
COMMUNICATION is one of the biggest reasons people do not stay married or together anymore. It’s much easier to get a divorce and hence the breakdown of our society and kids that are so messed up over their parents fighting. GROW UP PEOPLE. For the sake of your children, teach them something better than watching YOU their parents argue, sulk, act like babies and throw temper tantrums. Nice going mom and dad.
Tell your partner or mate that you love them very much today. They are the best thing that ever happened to you. How lucky you are to have them in your life. Be happy, you both deserve it. Life is way too short. Too many things can happen to change dramatically overnight…

Hello friends thank you for taking a moment to read.
I am Victoria Kelley, a mother, a concerned citizen, an individual who desires change in the world and today a spokesperson about health-care reform.
I am reminded today with this health-care reform, that animals behave better than humans do lately.
People are calling each other “PIGS” However, if I am a Pig…I will take that as a compliment.
Pigs are loyal, highly intelligent, great companions, house trainable, good mothers and very independent.
That says more, than a lot of humans these days.

If you think you are NOT being fed more Poop over this whole Health-care reform, then think again. I do not claim to be any great authority in politics, but I do know when my rights and that of my family are slowly being taken away from you, me, our children.
I am a mother fighting for the rights of my beautiful boys who are 10 and 11 years old.

However, YOU have every right to voice your opinions and discontentment.
Your Children have a right to choose their own health care, for their future too. Please consider that.
The Collective have something very interesting to say to Humanity about Politics and it’s workings. You should read it. It can be found in their self named titled book -The Collective Speaks to Humanity-
Many Blessings
