My Secret to Weight Loss Takes Longer Than 3 Months

In the recent past, a woman working out at the gym talked about participating in a weight loss competition. She was one of those people often found exercising, but not all the time. Her results reflected that. You can read about the importance of being consistent in a weight loss forum.

While not obese, she definitely had weight to lose. The look she had was peculiar: she seemed excited about the chance to win a prize.

Since she wanted me to help her, I got out my skin fold caliper and measured her at 27%. This was normal for her over forty age group.

I concurred when she said that she wanted to be 19%: it’s a good place to be.

Since average fat loss over a one week period is less that 1%, I told her that she’d need a good part of a year to reachh her goal. After training intensely for 12 weeks, she had impressive results: she exceeded her goal by 2%. She even did six pack ab exercises.

Her excitment was really an inspirational to me. Suddenly, however, she stopped coming to the gym.

The woman wouldn’t answer the phone when I tried to contact her

Months later, she came back to the gym, but had gained most of her weight back after failing to win the contest. She started exercising again, but only periodically. This type of temporary success followed by failure happens a lot.

It is possible, however, to have progressively better results year after year. It just takes more than 12 weeks.I have a few suggestions that will get you going.

1. Don’t define your program as beginning a diet: your better eating habits should be regarded as a permanent alteration of your lifestyle.

2. Get a plan ready to maintain your fitness once you’ve achieved your goals.

3. Don’t try changing too much at once. Trying to do too much too fast will make your goals unsustainable.

Want Washboard Abs? Simple Tips That Will Give You Great Abs

Best Practices to Get a Six Pack

We talk about healthy foods to eat all the time. Let’s focus on Abs for a bit…They’re in infomercials. They’re in fitness magazines. You see them in the supplement ads…you see them almost everywhere (except maybe not in real life).

So many people want ripped abs like they see on TV and in all the ads, but so few people actually have them. It is actually possible to get well-toned six pack abs like the bodybuilders, but it takes a lot of hard work and commitment.

If you’re willing to put in the hours it takes, and work hard to get the abs you want, then you too can look as good as the people on TV.

Something many people forget about when toning muscles is how important it is to have a healthy diet. In order to make your dream of a better body a reality you need to eat well.

This means that you have to tailor your food selection to have low fat, lean, natural foods that promote fat loss like eggs from free roaming chickens and extra virgin olive oil. Without a proper diet that is conducive to your goals, you are going to have difficulty getting the body you want. Healthy foods to eat include fish like salmon or tuna, fruits and vegetables of just about every kind, and whole grains such as wheat and bran.

Diet is important, but don’t forget about your workout. Don’t bother trying to target your abdominals or get those silly ab machines you see on television. You need to workout the whole body to prevent unevenness in your workout.

Working with weights can help you to increase your metabolism, so that’s a good place to start. This will help you to naturally burn more calories. Just remain focused on keeping your whole body well-toned, and over time you will have the six pack abs you were going for all along.

After you’ve got your whole body adjusted to the workout routine then it’s time for focusing on the abdominal area. Crunches are a great place to start, but if you want to get the job done well, try doing some hanging leg lifts. You shouldn’t devote your whole workout to these exercises, but be sure to inculcate them at the same time.

Most of us would rather take a few pills and let the flab fall off and let the 6 pack shine through. With a little common sense and a lot of hard work and commitment, you can have the body you want!

Weight Loss Ideas That Work

I have had many issues with my own weight and have tried many different weight loss programs and diets.

About two years ago I attempted to attain my ideal weight once again however this time I was eager to make sure that the result was a very positive one.

I wrote down all of the reasons I was trying to lose the excess fat. On my list I wrote about how I wanted to look and feel stronger and fitter. This I believed would help my self-confidence and self-esteem which were always fairly low which may have been one of the reasons why I had a stuttering problem. I had had enough of feeling ashamed of my weight and fat belly. I wanted to walk down the street feeling proud and assured plus I also wanted to stop stuttering of course.

I used to also eat when I was stressed and I sure had a lot of worry via work which was in the fostering services UK and DVD duplication industries.

I wanted to lose weight to avoid all the health problems that being obese can cause, as people become older. I am not sure about you but I rarely see a fat person who is in their seventies or eighties. I am hoping to live until a ripe old age and enjoy my retirement.

Next on my list was about the clothes I wear. Basically I am not able to buy the clothes I really want to as they do not really suit a person of my build. There are times when I notice a person walking down the road and I think that they look impressive and that their clothes are nice; I then however realise that they are a lot thinner than me. The clothes may look impressive on them but would not look the same if I wore them.

I also wanted to lose weight in order for me to look more attractive to members of the opposite sex.

The last reason on my list was about my general level of fitness. I love playing football and was a regular in the school football team. I wrote about how I would love to regain my fitness so that I could participate in this and other sports.

This list was something that I would carry on my person throughout the day as it would act as a reminder of why I was trying to lose my excess weight - a form of motivation one might say. I am not saying it was an easy road, however I eventually managed to obtain a weight that I was happy with. I now have a lot more confidence in many areas of my life including work where I now offer Voucher Codes.

I hope this article proves to be an inspiration to many people; young and old.

What Are The Benefits Of Hiring A Personal Trainer?

There are many different diets out there which try to help people to lose their excess fat, these can be very difficult to follow as the whole reason we are over-weight is because of our love for food. The diets themselves normally recommend us to eat healthy but uninspiring foods. These diets have never really worked for me, mainly because I have possibly not got the right attitude but mainly because I find it hard to stick to them. A month maybe, six months certainly not.

I believe that the reason that I am over-weight is due to the fact that I had a stuttering problem which caused me to comfort eat. I know that this may well seem a little lame but it is my excuse anyway. Stuttering therapy proved pointless and useless and hence my desire to eat lots and lots of food.

In my opinion exercise is the best way to lose weight. I have never really enjoyed visiting the gym possibly due to the fact that I do not feel comfortable there. I always feel that people are looking, talking and laughing at me behind my back. Maybe I am just too paranoid.

Due to my own personal experiences and success I would certainly advise people to hire a personal trainer. Now you might think that only the rich and famous could possibly do this but you would be wrong. There are many personal fitness trainers who are either connected to a gym or who advertise locally in newspapers or magazines.

These are specially trained people who are willing to come to your house to show you how to correctly exercise and they do not cost an arm and a leg.

If you have attempted this route before but have had a negative experience do not despair. It may well be because you just did not hit it off with your personal trainer. I have been using a personal trainer for the last five months and only plumped for him after trying out four others first.

Hiring a personal trainer was the best thing I have ever done with regards to losing weight and I would recommend it to other people. I have now lost the beer belly and still continue working hard, it is now more as a fitness thing rather than to lose even more weight. It has also enabled me to have a better focus on business which is in the business cost reduction industry and offering web promotion tips. The companies have been going from strength ever since I managed to improve the way in which I lived my life.

The Logical Weight Loss Plan

Are you looking into the different ways that can help you to lose weight? Have you tried a number of different diets in the past but still find yourself being overweight? Are you fed up with being fat? Are you a person that dreams as to what it would be like to be leaner, fitter and healthier? If you have answered yes to any of these questions then this article could well prove to be of benefit to you.

I am somebody who until a few years ago would have answered yes to all of the above questions. I had tried many forms of diet, I would buy clothes that suited my size rather than the clothes I actually wanted to wear. I was without doubt fed up with being fat and was desperate to find a way of losing weight which would last.

I am by no means involved with weight loss in my career; I do in fact work with the cost reduction specialists, stuttering and foster care services UK sectors.

In my opinion the answer to all of weight problems was quite simple. I do not need any fancy diet, what I needed to do was to think in a logical way. I first of all had to ask myself a number of questions:

Question. Why are you overweight?

Answer: I eat far too much food and drink far too much alcohol. The food that I do eat is basically fat food such as crisps, chocolate, takeaways and microwave food. I also do very little exercise, therefore I do not give my body a chance to burn off some of this fat. I tend to rarely walk anywhere, I prefer to drive.

Question. Why have you been unsuccessful with your past dieting attempts?

Answer: I did not really follow the program. I may have done for the short term but certainly did not over the longer term. I also gave into temptations by eating food types which I was not really supposed to.

Question. How much do you want to lose this excess weight?

Answer. A huge amount.

Question. So why do you not follow the dieting programs to the letter?

Answer. I am weak, I suppose.

As you can see, the answers to my weight issues are in the answers to these questions. Quite simply I need to:

Be more disciplined

Be more determined

Be stronger

Walk and exercise a lot more

Eat far healthier foods

Cut down my intake of alcohol

Stick to the above for the long term

A couple of years ago I started to implement my new logical form of diet and I am happy to report that I am now at a size that I am happy with.

Can’t Lose Weight? It Doesn’t Have To Be Like This

Do you believe you can’t lose weight? Have you got a particular reason you can’t lose that excess fat? It’s a sad fact that most people firmly believe they can’t lose weight. Some mystical power is stopping them from achieving their weight loss goal.

Realty is that deep down they don’t really wanna lose any weight. They would be content to just carry on living as they are now. Yet they still tell themselves they would like to lose a few pounds but they can’t, or don’t know how.

It’s no magical secret. Weight loss is a simple mathematical problem. Your body needs to use more calories than it takes in. Taking in more calories than you burn off results in weight gain. Period.

The other perspective is that you will lose weight if you burn off more than you eat. This is the crux of the problem. The average diet is so full of calories it’s almost criminal. If you actually measured out the right amount of calorific intake that you should have each day you’ll give yourself a heart attack.

Let’s take a simple exercise, say doing side bends to try to burn off your love handles. You will lose weight by doing an awful lot of these. Your guess is as good as mine as to how many you need to do. It’s a balancing act between your intake of calories and how many you burn off.

You can quite easily take in a whole days allowance of calories in one meal. Seriously! Fast food is the biggest culprit. In fact fast food is quite often laced with sugar, even the burgers! Sugar makes you get hungry quicker after digestion.

The body changes everything we eat into energy in the form of glucose (simple sugar). Sugary foods get used up much faster and then leave you feeling hungry again very quickly. There’s a lot of people think our sugar reliant diets is no accident. A western world conspiracy to get us eating (and spending) more.

We eat more, we spend more, and they get rich! Big corporations that is. A simple formula for the big corporations to get rich. Of course, the simplest way to get us eating more is adding sugar to everything we eat.

Like in a bar when there’s peanuts or pretzels on the bar to nibble on. We eat the salt and get thirsty so we buy more beer. So, in conclusion to all this, the fact of the matter is you will lose weight by simply eating slightly less than you burn off. Can you do this on your own? I doubt it as the western worlds collective willpower is on the floor.

What you need is a hand holding system to help you. Something that will guarantee you lose weight if you follow it to the letter. If you’ve tried other methods and they’ve not worked, it’s maybe time you tried something with a new approach

Exercise For Love Handles - If Side Bends Don’t Work - What Will?

Do any search on the net and you’ll hit a million websites that will promise to strip that fat from your love handles. The fact is most of it’s crap. Usually setup to try and sell you some expensive equipment or diet pills.

The usual suspect in the exercise for love handles category is the good old side bend. You hold something above your head, usually a broom handle or stick and then lean or bend left, then right. Then repeat, repeatedly. Get real! Of course, they rarely work.

The fact they won’t work is that targeting one particular area to lose weight from is nigh on impossible. You’ll get a lot of know it alls telling you they do indeed work. They do work, but only if you do them with a whole all round system and not just “spot” training.

You will lose weight from your love handles if you incorporate the side bends with an all round workout. Couple the thorough workout with decent eating habits and you’ve cracked it. It’s a well known (but ignored) fact that to lose weight you simply need to consume less energy than you burn off.

To consume energy simply means to eat food. Burning energy off is done simply by activity or exercise. Any form of activity will burn energy off. This is basically what exercise is.

This could be walking, swimming, running, weightlifting or even sex. The last one sounds good to me! Any type of exercise is good for you. No exercise is bad for you. This is the reason people get fat. They eat calorie laden food and do little or no exercise.

Doing exercise for love handles will not work unless you have an all round workout. I’m a naturally lazy person so I tend to go swimming a lot. It’s a great non impact all round exercise. If you can get to a swimming pool you should. It’s gentle and has great benefits for you.

I dislike jogging and the like. I see no reason to pay for a slim figure with wrecked knee joints. The guy who popularised jogging actually died while out jogging in a park somewhere. Ironically discovered by two smokers walking past.

If you are serious about your shape then you need to get yourself an all round system to follow. Not some new fangled diet that won’t work but a system that will work long term and is gentle enough for you to keep at it. Check out (probably) the best five systems that are out there at this site …

Think you can’t lose weight? Think again!

Increase Fat Loss By 300% Instantly

Ever heard people say “you are what you eat”?Someone only told you half of the story.] The second part of that story is: you are when you eat! If you plan your meals from smallest to biggest, this is exactly how your figure will look. This principle is a key component in any holistic nutrition program.

I bet you are slightly confused right now… Let me explain.

Can you tell me what food is really? It is energy for the body.If food gives us energy, then what part of the day requires the most? The best meal to eat the most calories is breakfast.

When should we eat our biggest meal based on energy requirements? Breakfast. Then lunch, then dinner.

Going through a normal day, let’s take a look at a typical modern US diet. Captain Crunch for breakfast, pizza for lunch, and fried chicken, mashed potatoes, butter soaked corn, and a piece of apple pie for dessert.

You ideally want your daily meal plan to be an upside down triangle, filtering the least amount of calories to the end of the day, and giving the body the most at the beginning of the day so that it has all day to burn your calories off.

For Example:

Have oatmeal, eggs and some fresh fruit for breakfast.

A chicken ceasar wrap for lunch with a side of raw carrots

Kabobs for supper with a tossed salad.

The meal size gradually became smaller, but still has plenty of nutrition stuffed inside it.You always want to eat the least amount of calories before you go to sleep.Since you are not expending energy moving around, your body will take the food and store it in your fat cells for a rainy day. A good natural weight loss and detox program makes sure that you keep a healthy weight by using foundational principles like the pyramid principle.

The second part of this rule is to make sure that you don’t eat past 7pm. Your body is starting to wind down into the rest and repair mode, and you are more likely to store your food as fat.

Remember: Breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen and dinner like a pauper and you should increase your weight loss by 100%
