Custom Jewelry: A Romantic & Personal Gift

For those approaching an important milestone in their marriage, it is worth it to consider investing in jewelry.   Jewelry is the kind of gift that is always in style, and has long lasting appeal.  It’s likely that your partner is a fan of unique jewelry. It’s also a possibility that you currently have a set of gorgeous and unique wedding rings. Consider that anniversary rings are a perfect way to set off existing pieces of unique jewelry.

It’s most common to give an anniversary ring on a fifth or tenth wedding anniversary.  However, tradition does not always have to be our guide; buy a ring when it feels appropriate for your relationship. When you begin the search for an anniversary ring, where should you go, and what exactly are you looking for?

It’s a great idea to observe the jewelry your wife currently has.  Taking a look at her unique jewelry will give you an idea of what her preferred style happens to be.  Going for the largest and flashiest option isn’t necessarily the right choice!  Consider whether she prefers gold or silver, platinum or palladium.  You really can’t go wrong by choosing a personalized ring that will compliment and enhance her current jewelry wardrobe.

Platinum is one of the most popular precious metal choices available.  First used in the early 1900’s, platinum was valued for its durability, it’s tarnish resistance, and it’s overall gorgeous look.  Antique platinum settings are beautiful, and have some history to them.

When you consider which type of gemstone to use, it is wise to be aware of your existing budget. Diamonds vary widely in price according to quality, so there is really no limit to what is possible.  Diamonds that may surround the centerpiece stone could represent your number of children, the number of years of marriage, or anything else you can signify in numeral terms.  In terms of budget, perhaps it is more affordable to signify your two children rather than your fifteen years of marriage!  If your wife enjoys simplicity, you can consider less complicated designs.

If you’re not totally certain what you want to buy, consult with your local jeweler to make your choice. They’re familiar with the most popular styles of the moment, as well as being able to provide insight about what might be appropriate for your particular anniversary.  The scale of a fifth anniversary gift is naturally going to be different than a twenty fifth anniversary.  Carefully considering your various options, and taking your time to select the right ring, you are bound to make a perfect choice.

Jewelry Is Not Just For Traditional Occassions Any More

There are tons of ways to discover personalized jewelry. However, there comes a point that a lot of people reach their “personalized items” limit. There are only so many pieces you can embellish with your name before your wardrobe loses its elegance and begins to look horrifying. So if you go crazy over personalize accessories, what do you do? Have you been the contributor of a major social blunder? One of the best ways to apologize to someone for small errors in judgment is to send a card with a small piece of personalized jewelry inside of it. The jewelry does not need to be expensive. It can be as easy as a necklace that has a pendant with the initial of the person’s first name on it. It can be a bracelet you put together with alphabet beads. If you do not think the person would appreciate jewelry, think about personalizing something else: a small plush toy, a coffee mug, even a set of post-its can be a great gift to communicate how sorry you are for your blunder. If you’re afraid the person may not like the jewelry, consider personalizing another object: a little plush toy, a coffee cup, even a set of post-its can be a fabulous present for expressing your sorrow for your fax pas.

Another obvious occasion for personalized gifts would be an engagement. Most people celebrate some major holidays. Even if they do not celebrate a religious holiday they will probably celebrate Hallmark holidays like Valentine’s Day. Making sure your gift stands out from the others can be accomplished on special occasions. And because personalization is so affordable now, you aren’t limited to just jewelry!

Sometimes it feels good to give a gift for not particular reason. Admit it: you love giving gifts because you relish the reaction the recipient may have when they receive it. It’s okay-it’s a really nice thing about being friends with another individual. When you want to give a gift “just for fun” a great idea is a handmade piece of personalized jewelry. String some alphabet beads onto a leather cord with some other snazzy beads. Ta da! You have really great piece of personalized jewelry that you can bestow to your friend! Who knew that there were so many occasions when personalized jewelry would be a good idea? You probably weren’t aware that personalized gifts are appropriate on so many occasions! You might have even been thinking that personalized gifts should be saved for occasions when expensive jewelry is appropriate. Finding personalized items is easy to do nowadays! Most of these gifts are inexpensive too! There are many times in your life when you will need to give a gift and not know what to give. Why not pick up something and have it personalized?

Different Stages of a Mother’s Love Become a Piece of Jewelry

Everyone has a story about their mother. Mothers are as different as their unique personalities. Some are patient and kind. Some are loud and obnoxious. Others are very opinionated. In spite of these characteristic differences in a mother’s personality, they do the best that they can, as there is no wrong way to love their child.

Let me first point out that being a mother is the most challenging, yet rewarding, experience in a woman’s life. Women have the ability to love their child unconditionally, in spite of the circumstances. It is said that a Mother’s Love begins at the very thought of conception and never ends; not even after death.

My mother is celebrating her eightieth birthday in a couple months. She is one of those women who needs nothing, and who finds happiness in the simplest things. I decided to pay tribute to her life, and especially her motherhood, buy selecting an assortment of Italian charms that would each have special meaning to her. Each charm reflects a certain period of her life as a wife, a mother and a grandmother. I’m sure it will bring tears for her, but I’m sure it will also remind her of many happy times with more to anticipate.

A new mother’s love is blind as she gazes at her red-faced, wrinkly, toothless newborn. She honestly believes her baby is the most beautiful in the world. Her love for this infant has grown as her womb has expanded. She has lovingly and unselfishly prepared for this moment, for her life as she has known it is changed forever with the birth of her child.

A mother’s love for her toddler is patient, as she tirelessly teaches this youngster what society expects of them. Temper tantrums thrown in frustration are dealt with. Lessons in potty training and communication are constant. Though this stage is short-lived, it takes a lot of energy to keep up with a rambunctious child of this age. The mother’s love grows with each accomplishment.

The love for the school-aged child can best be described as consistent, as the mother learns to let her child develop an individual personality. She allows her child to socialize; enables her child to experience life; challenges her child to become independent; supports her child through trials and triumphs, alike. Through all of these stages of development, her love is unwavering.

In a mother’s eyes, her child can usually do no wrong, regardless of the circumstances. Not so true in the tumultuous adolescent years. Because the mother did such a good job of raising her child to be an independent, self-reliant individual, teen-agers often push themselves into adulthood before they are actually ready. Mistakes are made. Often, all a mother can do is guide the child to learn from their mistakes; to make better decisions; to accept that her child is not perfect. In this stage of motherhood, her love needs to be very forgiving and understanding.

The love a mother has for her adult child is full of pride, for she has the satisfaction of a job well done in raising her child. Her efforts have been successful. Her love has overcome all of the obstacles and stages in life. This love is reciprocated because the adult child realizes and appreciates the love their mother has shown them throughout their life.

There is a special bond formed by mother and child once the child becomes a parent. The mother’s ever-changing role is now defined as “Grandmother”. This woman’s love has come full circle now because she understands the challenges her child will face in raising a child. She knows the rewards her child will receive. She appreciates the lessons in love that her grandchild will learn. For, there is no stronger love than that of a mother; and no love more rewarding than becoming a grandmother!Shall we all drink a hearty toast to our mother’s whose love has always enveloped us?
