The Logical Weight Loss Plan

Are you looking into the different ways that can help you to lose weight? Have you tried a number of different diets in the past but still find yourself being overweight? Are you fed up with being fat? Are you a person that dreams as to what it would be like to be leaner, fitter and healthier? If you have answered yes to any of these questions then this article could well prove to be of benefit to you.

I am somebody who until a few years ago would have answered yes to all of the above questions. I had tried many forms of diet, I would buy clothes that suited my size rather than the clothes I actually wanted to wear. I was without doubt fed up with being fat and was desperate to find a way of losing weight which would last.

I am by no means involved with weight loss in my career; I do in fact work with the cost reduction specialists, stuttering and foster care services UK sectors.

In my opinion the answer to all of weight problems was quite simple. I do not need any fancy diet, what I needed to do was to think in a logical way. I first of all had to ask myself a number of questions:

Question. Why are you overweight?

Answer: I eat far too much food and drink far too much alcohol. The food that I do eat is basically fat food such as crisps, chocolate, takeaways and microwave food. I also do very little exercise, therefore I do not give my body a chance to burn off some of this fat. I tend to rarely walk anywhere, I prefer to drive.

Question. Why have you been unsuccessful with your past dieting attempts?

Answer: I did not really follow the program. I may have done for the short term but certainly did not over the longer term. I also gave into temptations by eating food types which I was not really supposed to.

Question. How much do you want to lose this excess weight?

Answer. A huge amount.

Question. So why do you not follow the dieting programs to the letter?

Answer. I am weak, I suppose.

As you can see, the answers to my weight issues are in the answers to these questions. Quite simply I need to:

Be more disciplined

Be more determined

Be stronger

Walk and exercise a lot more

Eat far healthier foods

Cut down my intake of alcohol

Stick to the above for the long term

A couple of years ago I started to implement my new logical form of diet and I am happy to report that I am now at a size that I am happy with.

Can’t Lose Weight? It Doesn’t Have To Be Like This

Do you believe you can’t lose weight? Have you got a particular reason you can’t lose that excess fat? It’s a sad fact that most people firmly believe they can’t lose weight. Some mystical power is stopping them from achieving their weight loss goal.

Realty is that deep down they don’t really wanna lose any weight. They would be content to just carry on living as they are now. Yet they still tell themselves they would like to lose a few pounds but they can’t, or don’t know how.

It’s no magical secret. Weight loss is a simple mathematical problem. Your body needs to use more calories than it takes in. Taking in more calories than you burn off results in weight gain. Period.

The other perspective is that you will lose weight if you burn off more than you eat. This is the crux of the problem. The average diet is so full of calories it’s almost criminal. If you actually measured out the right amount of calorific intake that you should have each day you’ll give yourself a heart attack.

Let’s take a simple exercise, say doing side bends to try to burn off your love handles. You will lose weight by doing an awful lot of these. Your guess is as good as mine as to how many you need to do. It’s a balancing act between your intake of calories and how many you burn off.

You can quite easily take in a whole days allowance of calories in one meal. Seriously! Fast food is the biggest culprit. In fact fast food is quite often laced with sugar, even the burgers! Sugar makes you get hungry quicker after digestion.

The body changes everything we eat into energy in the form of glucose (simple sugar). Sugary foods get used up much faster and then leave you feeling hungry again very quickly. There’s a lot of people think our sugar reliant diets is no accident. A western world conspiracy to get us eating (and spending) more.

We eat more, we spend more, and they get rich! Big corporations that is. A simple formula for the big corporations to get rich. Of course, the simplest way to get us eating more is adding sugar to everything we eat.

Like in a bar when there’s peanuts or pretzels on the bar to nibble on. We eat the salt and get thirsty so we buy more beer. So, in conclusion to all this, the fact of the matter is you will lose weight by simply eating slightly less than you burn off. Can you do this on your own? I doubt it as the western worlds collective willpower is on the floor.

What you need is a hand holding system to help you. Something that will guarantee you lose weight if you follow it to the letter. If you’ve tried other methods and they’ve not worked, it’s maybe time you tried something with a new approach

Exercise For Love Handles – If Side Bends Don’t Work – What Will?

Do any search on the net and you’ll hit a million websites that will promise to strip that fat from your love handles. The fact is most of it’s crap. Usually setup to try and sell you some expensive equipment or diet pills.

The usual suspect in the exercise for love handles category is the good old side bend. You hold something above your head, usually a broom handle or stick and then lean or bend left, then right. Then repeat, repeatedly. Get real! Of course, they rarely work.

The fact they won’t work is that targeting one particular area to lose weight from is nigh on impossible. You’ll get a lot of know it alls telling you they do indeed work. They do work, but only if you do them with a whole all round system and not just “spot” training.

You will lose weight from your love handles if you incorporate the side bends with an all round workout. Couple the thorough workout with decent eating habits and you’ve cracked it. It’s a well known (but ignored) fact that to lose weight you simply need to consume less energy than you burn off.

To consume energy simply means to eat food. Burning energy off is done simply by activity or exercise. Any form of activity will burn energy off. This is basically what exercise is.

This could be walking, swimming, running, weightlifting or even sex. The last one sounds good to me! Any type of exercise is good for you. No exercise is bad for you. This is the reason people get fat. They eat calorie laden food and do little or no exercise.

Doing exercise for love handles will not work unless you have an all round workout. I’m a naturally lazy person so I tend to go swimming a lot. It’s a great non impact all round exercise. If you can get to a swimming pool you should. It’s gentle and has great benefits for you.

I dislike jogging and the like. I see no reason to pay for a slim figure with wrecked knee joints. The guy who popularised jogging actually died while out jogging in a park somewhere. Ironically discovered by two smokers walking past.

If you are serious about your shape then you need to get yourself an all round system to follow. Not some new fangled diet that won’t work but a system that will work long term and is gentle enough for you to keep at it. Check out (probably) the best five systems that are out there at this site …

Think you can’t lose weight? Think again!

3 Tips To Break Your Bad Food Cravings

Most people suffer from emotional eating. Their mind controls their eating habits and they eat too much. If this sounds familiar, then this principle will help break the worst of your habits. I call it the addition rule.

The principle behind this rule is very powerful. To get rid of a bad habit, you need to add something positive in its place to fill in what was there before. Nature abhors a vacuum and will fill up the empty space.

Adding healthy food to your diet can help you to flush body fat naturally. To understand what I mean, check this out: if you are trying to give up chocolate, then replace the chocolate with dark chocolate (a much healthier choice because dark chocolate has antioxidants in it).

After you have done this for a period of time, start adding some more raw fruits and vegetables to your diet.

There are four powerful reasons why you want to add these:

  • Eating these raw, give you much needed digestive enzymes that are needed to break down your food. Processed foods do not give you this.
  • Vegetables and fruits contain high amounts of fiber which grows in your stomach, causing you to fill up and feel fuller faster.
  • It helps to push food through your digestive tract.
  • These give your body antioxidants and trace minerals that are essential not only for weight loss, but for your body to stay healthy.

The second part of the rule is to “eat my fiber first.”

Eating fiber first (salad) clears your digestive tract and prepares it for your meal.

When eaten with other food, fresh fruits and vegetables literally clear a place for the rest of your food and detoxifies your large intestine. This in itself will help you lose fat naturally.

For instance, when you eat pasta, make sure that you eat your salad (minus all the heavy dressing) before you eat anything else. If you choose to have a sundae, make sure that you top it with lots of fresh berries.

Adding the fruits and veggies fills you up faster and you won’t eat as much. Plus, you will be getting a good dose of anti-oxidants!

Go ahead and start this immediately. It’s not unusual for people to lose 5-10 pounds off of just this little tip!

Diet and Yeast Infections

Everyone knows the importance of a balanced diet. But to some people, the level of balance is a bit different from that of others. For some, foods that stimulate yeast overgrowth or yeast allergies cause the imbalance.

Refined sugars, corn syrup, white flour products, soft drinks, instant cereals, hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils, dried fruits, mushrooms, condiments, canned or bottled juices, leavened bread, pretzels, pastries, crackers, and any liquid, cereal, or candy.

“so,” you may inquire. “what is left to eat?” Fresh is your new favourite word! Fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, whole grains, some nuts, seeds, unprocessed oils, yogurt containing live cultures of lactobacillus acidophilus, flax seed, and grain alternatives.

Even double checking your vitamins may pay off. Anything you put into your mouth should be considered when trying to control your dietary problems. Yeast-free, sugar-free, and color-free are what to look for when choosing vitamins and herbal supplements.
Herbal remedies have gained in popularity and deserve consideration. Herbal oils that have strong antifungal properties are the better choices. Herbs that boost the immune system are good choices. Herbs that promote the growth of good bacteria are important. Teas that soothe inflammation are helpful.

Low fat granola is a great breakfast choice and can improve your health in more ways than one.

One belief is that people who are allergic to yeast containing foods should place the most emphasis on removing all yeast from their diets. But a person who has similar symptoms caused by Candida albicans, also may not have problems caused by other types of
yeasts. Some yeasts may be harmless.

The yeasts in foods and beverages are the servicia or saccharonyces. Peanuts and pistachios are full of molds, so avoiding these types of nuts is best if you are allergic to molds or yeasts.

Going fresh with your diet may seem expensive. When trying to make a complete diet change, it can be very hard to see the benefits in the few weeks. But the costs of making this change will pay off big time in the long run by saving you hundreds on medications and doctor visits alone! The costs of other things related with your recurring yeast infections. It can also be a challenge to have to share a house with other people who do not have a problems with food allergies. If looking into the refrigerator is causing you a problem with sticking to your goals, maybe you could consider purchasing a small fridge of your own to hold your special dietary needs. Take a section of the kitchen for yourself to help you maintain your goal.

Clear out a cabinet or a drawer to use for your own personal food choices.

Household cooperation is important, and your health should be taken seriously. Loved ones should know how important and how appreciated their help would be to your recovery. Maybe setting a goal when you can all celebrate would be added motivation.

Go Primal, Lose Fat

Our ancestors were the equivalent to olympic athletes in their health. They had to survive the harsh conditions of the environment, or they would die.Genetically, our bodies have not changed much since those times. We’ve had to evolve mechanisms that would keep us alive during times of famine.

Hunter/gatherers during this time endured long periods of starvation. It was rare that they had enough food.To remedy this situation, we have developed systems within our bodies that will actually cause us to hold onto excess fat, no matter what the circumstance.

Through hormonal changes in our body, our ancestors survived by gaining and storing weight to survive periodic famines. In society today, this just sounds ridiculous because we have plenty of food.

There is a difference between food back then and foods now. Now, our food supply has far less nutrients.

Nowadays, our food is calorie rich and nutrient poor. We are literally in a famine amidst plenty.

We have poisoned our systems that help us lose weight by not exercising, mental/emotional stress and eating foods that are not congruent with our genetics such as high fructose corn sugar, processed foods, too much salt, etc. This has turned our bodies into fat storing machines.

Our ancestors were in incredible shape. He/she who was the most fit, had the best chance of getting/killing more food.

As we have adapted, our bodies created systems to get us through hard times such as droughts and even bad eye sight! This is why it is important to have a holistic weight loss program. This type of program is designed to give you nutrient dense foods that have a very low calorie value.

During our hunter/gatherer times, our sweets were fruits and honey. They were all natural and not in a concentrated form like the sugar and “fake” honey that we have now.

Nowadays, our stress comes from money problems, relationship problems, and work stress. It isn’t for our survival. The problem lies in the fact that our bodies don’t differentiate between mental and physical stress.

All forms of stress overcome our innate drive to shed fat.Emotionally, we become discouraged causing us to give into eating sugars, fats, and sodas.Put together, these events shift our food mindset from eating to live to living to eat.
